Show and Tell Time: Mamas got a brand new BAG!

Well, today the UPS man made me a very happy baglady. He delivered a bag that I obtained using my handy dandy ideeli.com membership. Thanks to others who have purchased items after I added them affording me a $50 credit.

Anyhoo, if you dont know how ideeli or other sites work, they basically sell new merchandise to be or recently released at a heavily discounted preview rate.

This bag is by HYPE, the Gaby Tote. Retail price $350 dollars. Ideeli price $138 dollars. Bag Lady snag $98 dollars.










What do you think? And she's HUGE! Two zipped compartments and two small side zip compartments on either side of the bag. She smells great like a newborn purse! She's going to be the perfect spring/summer bag. I wish I would have gotten it in black as well.

These Inauguration Events are cutting into my purse money!

Okay I get it. There will be more people in DC this week than ever before. Clubs who have applied for the appropriate licensure are going to be open for 24 hours. The District of Columbia will turn into Sin City. But give us a break you guys. The average club is charging $150 for EARLY entry. This is pure exploitation of a historical event and it is seriously diminishing the new purse stash situation nationwide. I know goodness well the money gained from party goers this weekend is not going to Feed the Children. Parties labeled as "balls" will only have in common with a real Inaugural ball the price to get in. There is an economic crisis going on, and the only people being bailed out this weekend are party promoters and club owners.

Greed is one of the 7 deadly sins. More than likely, more money would be made this week than any other week whether the prices are hiked up or not. People are coming from all over the nation and now must go into debt in order to say they were a part of a historic event.

I refuse. Puffy, Jay Z none of them cats are getting my good purse money this weekend. They have money. Puff aint looking for a bailout. Jay Z should be buying out bars for us this weekend with all the money we have helped him earn over the years, keeping his 40 year old butt working. Whoa, that sounded petty. Jay is my man but I'm saying. Can I live?

My folks are coming in town this weekend, so I got on a mission to find the spots where we could have a good time and not have to pay $1000 to get in. I refuse. Do you know my comcast bill is $140 bucks? I dont even know what channels I have. So I found a few parties that are $50 bucks and under. These are the parties where you will more than likely see me.
