Ummm I dont know, what do YOU think?

This is the Fendi Tobacco Patchwork Pillow (LG) It can be found on Bluefly(see link on the right). This bag gives me mixed emotions. When I first saw it I thought, "Cool!" but then I started to think it looked like vomit. I know, my stupid imagination. So then I started picturing Victoria Beckam walking through London's Heathrow airport with it, along with a complete ensemble and I began to re-think the bag's hotness yet again...I ponder.

Bottom line, the bag can be rocked but it must be rocked with precision. I wouldn't pair it with multicolored anything else! You know that song "the cheese stands alone" well the bag stands alone. It needs a solid background to shine.

What do you think abou it? Rock it or knock it ..holla back!

Hold My .....Sneakers?

Did I just type that? I know nothing about sneakers outside of how to tie them up, and I’m sure I don’t do that properly. Baglady doesn’t know sneakers, but I know who does. On my blog roll if you have paid any attention you will notice a link for the Sneaker Suite. If you’ve never clicked on that link, I’m about to tell you exactly why you should.

I love to brag and boast about my friends and it will never stop. Today I’m thrilled to put a sneaker spin on my blog in honor of Ian Callender. Ian was recognized by DC and WKYS in the category of DMV's top 30 under 30. If you don’t think that is huge, then check the list to see if your name is there :) DMV's Top 30 under 30

Here is an excerpt from the article:

In August 2005 Ian created "iCan's Sneaker Suite", an original conceptual showcase fusing music, fashion, food, art and sneakers. Also a celebration of his 23rd birthday, the event conquered prohibited territory by allowing patrons to wear sneakers in the nightclub venue. With performances by Raheem DeVaughn and W. Ellington Felton, live artwork by Demont Peekaso, a sneaker gallery full of rarity and exclusivity, complimentary food, free drinks courtesy of Heineken and an EA Sports showcase letting guests preview the newest Madden video game release. This marked the birth of a beautiful, yet unique boutique brand: the Sneaker Suite. Since then, Ian has been the brain behind numerous memorable events – the deep in the district fashion series (3); P. Diddy live at Ibiza nightclub; “Ciroc the Vote” to encourage political involvement and “The Collaboration” featuring Kenny Burns, both at the National Harbor’s Art Whino; and a community recruitment initiative for Girls Scouts of America with Angela and Vanessa Simmons at Shoe City.

So today I flip my blog into Hold My Sneakers in recognition of Ian Callender and all of the waves and moves he has made developing his company, giving back and reaching out to his community and making us all proud.

I also hope to get my first pair of really cool kicks out of this deal. If he doesn’t then I will tell everyone what my nickname is for him :-)

Check him out and do it on a regular and continuous basis so that you won’t get caught out there with “bamma kicks!” The Sneaker Suite

Leave your comments, and well wishes for Ian..he is a reader *pops purse strap*
