Ok last post on this I promise LOL<BR/><BR/>YSL was also one of the first designers to cast black models, and continued to do so throughout his career, not only when it was "fashionable." His death, along with the recent death of his muse Katoucha Niane (one of the first African models on the Paris fashion scene), sadden me.

I gasped when I heard the news. He was one of my staple designers. One of the greats. I have fond memories of he and Oscar de la Renta, Chanel, Diane von Furstenburg (sp) etc... as being some of the firsts to feed my Couture appetite. I have some vintage pieces and I'll go see what mom has stashed away I can acquire. RIP and become some up and comer's heavenly muse. :-(
